Liquid+ is a liquid nutrition brand that has been a lifetime in the making. Growing up in Southern California, health and wellness has always been an integral part of my life. Over the last decade, one of my biggest challenges was finding convenient, real food nutrition when I traveled. Every trip my luggage would be filled with mostly supplements with a little space leftover for clothes. I had the bars, shakes and powders but I was missing a convenient source of fruit and vegetables.
When I began diving into the data, I found that 90% of Americans don’t get enough fruits, vegetables and fiber. Furthermore, studies show that convenience plays a critical role in the consumption of healthy options. I had found a cause worth devoting my life towards. I decided to develop a product made from real vegetables and fruits that was instant and on-the-go. Something that could truly move the needle on the architecture of American health... and that was when Liquid Salad was born.
I spent the last decade designing award-winning experiences for some of the best brands in the world. What made us different from other designers was that we focused on designing things that made people feel something. The iPod wasn’t the first mp3 player, but it revolutionized the category because it delivered something that mattered to people. People didn’t care about 500mb of storage. What really mattered to them was 100 songs in your pocket.
The health and wellness industry tries to get you to be healthy by convincing you that it’s your duty to eat clean. Because calories, carbohydrates and vitamins. I believe that there is a better way than communicating functional benefits. The best brands in the world inspire you to feel something. What if through art and beauty, we could inspire you to eat better? What if food was so beautiful that it could make you smile and eat healthy?
The pouch we designed for Liquid Salad is a work of art (literally). We’ve created a world of art, creativity and nutrition that I am so excited to share with you.
